Zona Velha da Cidade é hoje uma das zonas mais emblemáticas da Cidade do Funchal, com um autentico museu ao ar livre, as portas dos prédios que estavam mais degradados foram transformadas em verdadeira arte e cultura. Além das pinturas nas portas, uma nova vida iniciou-se na zona velha, levando à instalação de novos bares e esplanadas, lojas de velharias e de vinhos num ambiente, onde existem os negócios mais tradicionais como frutarias e restaurantes.
